For the final literature logs, you must analyze quotes from chapters 21, 22, and 23; however, for chapters 24-31, you only have to analze quotes from 5 out of 8 quotes from chapters 24-21. You can pick which chapters to do.

Classtime and homework centered around similes and metaphors. Both compare UNLIKE things. Be prepared in class today with your assigned pages' similes and metaphors and the practice sheet from class.

Just like in the video clips, so much of our music uses figurative language. Tonight you will find more similes, metaphors, and alliteration in your favorite songs.

Please study your preposition list and practice work for tomorrow's preposition test. You will be required to write 45 prepositions, cross out prepositional phrases, underline subjects and verbs, and put infinitives in parentheses.

After the test tomorrow, you voted for SSR. Bring a magazine or novel to read after the test.

On Monday, we will continue discussion of topics from your literature logs.

Wednesday we will be in the library to finalize short story corrections/typing revisions/printing.
