Crossroads in 2nd and 3rd and presentations in 6th

2nd and 3rd-Many of you shared your journal entries about the crossroads of entering 9th grade and some of the decisions you had to make over the summer. Thanks for your valuable input in class today. If you did not complete a full page in your journal, then finish that tonight.

6th- Most of you did phenomenal jobs with the presentation piece of your Steinbeck powerpoints. Way to go!

All-Please be ready to teach the word you received in class today. You want to be sure to cover the common
misspelling(s) and give your classmates a good way to remember the correct spelling. Bring the 30 point spelling rubric to class tomorrow.

Just another manic Monday

Most of you were prepared for the group work in the library. I was proud to call you my students as people walked through the library. I saw cooperation and effort from most of you today. Remember:

On Tuesday and Thursday this week you are to come to the classroom, and we will walk to Scantron testing together.

For Wednesday, remember to bring in printed slides, index cards, or whatever else your group needs to practice for your presentations, which will start on Friday.

Syllabus and ATUP

Today we reviewed the class syllabus and ATUP technology agreement.
Please be sure that both back pages are signed by you and a parent or guardian and returned to class on Friday.
Also, you need to have all of your classrom materials in class on Tuesday. Staples has a 4gb flash drive for $10 right now. Hurry before they're gone! Reminder: We will be in the library on Monday, so go straight to the library for class.
