Please study your preposition list and practice work for tomorrow's preposition test. You will be required to write 45 prepositions, cross out prepositional phrases, underline subjects and verbs, and put infinitives in parentheses.

After the test tomorrow, you voted for SSR. Bring a magazine or novel to read after the test.

Some of you did very well on the reading quiz today; some did not! If you are in the latter group, please do something different as you read. Try pre-reading strategies such as previewing the chapter questions and making predictions (as we do in class). You can also take notes or create graphic organizers that compare and contrast characters and conflicts during reading. Remember that you are responsible to closely read, answer chapter questions, and write literature logs for chapters 16-18 over Thanksgiving break.
